Hey everyone!

It’s almost the end of October and writing September favorites now is a little bit late. However, I wanted to share what I liked the previous month with you!

This month was intense: meetings with friends, finding information, filling in application forms and collecting all documents for language school and, of course, trying out new things. There were some disappointments but I try to stay positive and focus on things that brought me positive emotions. In this post I’d like to share things that made me happy this month and, hopefully, you can find something interesting for yourself.

I am a makeup junky, so it is no surprise that beauty products make a big part of my favorites.

NYX Lid Lingerie Shadow Palette (Lid Lingerie on the NYX website)

For me, this is the perfect palette for natural eyelooks. It has light all over the lid colors, crease colors and darker browns to deepen the outer corner of your eye or draw a natural wing. The shadows are pigmented, however, the brown in the right bottom corner is not as pigmented as I’d like it to be, and easy to blend. Also, I haven’t noticed any fallout.

NYX Perfect Filter Shadow Palette (Perfect Filter Palette on the NYX website)

When autumn comes to town I became drawn to golds, oranges and reds. As I couldn’t find NYX Ultimate Eyeshadow Palette in Warm Neutrals anywhere and Ultimate Multi-Finish Shadow Palettes are not sold in my country yet I’ve decided to try this palette. And I don’t regret it. It gives me an opportunity to do various looks: from soft and natural to bold and grungy. Like with the previous one, I had no problems with pigmentation, blendability or fallout whatsoever.

Lime Crime Hi-Lite Opals & Hi-Lite Mermaids (Hi-Lite Opals and Hi-Lite Mermaids on the Lime Crime website)

This month unusual and colorful highlighters were the most appealing to me. And what can be more unusual than “makeup for unicorns” created by Lime Crime? I own all three  Hi-Lite palettes, available in my country and Opals and Mermaids are my favorites (Hi-Lite Blossoms is, unfortunately, a bit dark for my complexion). These highlighters also perform stunningly as eyeshadows. Absolutely in love with them.

A long time ago one of my relatives gave me a huge book, which had “The Hobbit”, “The Lord of the Rings” and “Silmarillion”. For the whole time, it was just lying on my bookshelf. Honestly, I don’t know why I postponed reading this book, maybe I was frightened by the size of the book, maybe I just had something more important to read(you know, books for Literature and Oriental studies classes). But after graduation, I decided to read all books from my bookshelf while I still have time to do it. So, one day I grabbed this big book, opened it and… just fell in love from the first page. I’ve read “The Hobbit” and “The Lord of the Rings” and I really enjoy this amazing world created by J.R.R Tolkien. If you haven’t read these books, make sure to get acquainted with Tolkien’s creation!

“It” (2017)

I’m a Stephen King lover and of course, I couldn’t miss a chance to see the new ecranisation of one of the most famous novels. All I can say: it was bomb. I really liked everything about this movie: its atmosphere, cast, soundtracks, the ability to scare the hell out of viewers and make them laugh to tears. Especially, I want to say a couple of words about the actor who played Pennywise – Bill Skarsgård. His facial expressions, creepy smile and his eyes, one looking at his victim and another one staring right at you…that’s the new sponsor of my nightmares. Also, it was the second film in my memory, after watching which the audience applauded. Definitely worth watching.

“Train to Busan” (2016)

I love Korean films and dramas and I love zombie apocalyptic thrillers. And of course, I couldn’t miss an opportunity to watch “Train to Busan”. Well, actually I missed it when it was in cinemas, but I watched it anyway. I believe it’s the first movie in a long time which actually made me empathize with characters and even cry at some point. Actors, featuring Gong Yoo, Jung Yu-Mi, Ma Dong-Seok and others, made a really good job, all film cast overall made a great job. I consider “Train to Busan” one of my favorite films, not only Asian.

“Annabelle: Creation” (2017)

This was actually an August favorite but I couldn’t resist the temptation to tell you about this movie. I love “The Conjuring” universe and I couldn’t miss its “new chapter”. Of course, I watched first Annabelle and I was really curious how it all started. The movie could scare me in some scenes and I was really happy to find easter eggs in the film. There possibly were some illogical moments but they didn’t ruin my overall opinion about this film. If you enjoy watching horror movies, I will certainly recommend watching it.

Recently I’ve decided to lead a more healthy way of life so I started to read a lot about healthy eating, exercises and so on. The one thing I already did some time ago, but for some reason stopped doing it, is drinking detox water. This is not only beneficial for your health but also very tasty and fun to make. I won’t tell a lot about detox water here because I decided to write a separate post about this cool way of staying healthy and share some tips and my favorite recipes there. So definitely stay tuned for the upcoming post!

I thought that it is a good idea to show you amazing people who inspire me. This month I would like to tell you about these two wonderful girls:

Marina Voronina aka Marina Tinker (Marina on Instagram)

I first saw Marina on one of cosplay conventions in Moscow. She was cosplaying Ariel from “The Little Mermaid” and I was completely amazed at how stunning she was. Since then I’ve been following her on Instagram and other social networks.

I’m in love with her Disney cosplays and her pair cosplays with Connor. And she is definitely one of my biggest inspirations of all times. Check her Instagram and give this talented girl some love!

Katya Bychkova aka Style Sprinter (Katya on InstagramStyle Sprinter blog)

I came across Katya’s blog this spring while I was searching for a makeup review and immediately followed her. I can relate to what she writes and trust her makeup reviews. Her style is on point and she herself seems very kind. She was the one who inspired me to start this blog, so make sure to visit her Instagram and blog and give her some love as well!
